What gets you out of bed each morning? The opportunity to leave the world a more inspired place by speaking my truth, owning my story and helping others see the possibilities to do the same.

What’s your favourite book? The Power of Vulnerability- Brene Brown

What 3-5 words best describe you? Loyal, Full of party tricks, BA (bad ass).

What’s your favourite thing to eat? Where is it from? I love breakfast. My favourite breakfast joints in town are Leva, KB&co and Juniper.

What’s something that people don’t really know about you? I cry a lot... I cry at sad commercials, I cry whenever someone else cries, I cry thinking about crying.

More... My name is Erika Furuness. Edmontonian. Daughter. Sister. Fiance. Manager. Connector. Friend. Granddaughter. Heavy lifter! I was born and raised in Edmonton and I am truly Edmonton’s number 1 fan. If anyone needs convincing that Edmonton is cool, send them my way. Throughout my life, I always knew I wanted to teach, inspire and motivate others, so I went to university to be a teacher. Makes sense right? What I learned about myself is that operating in an unorthodox way is kind of my jam. As soon as I realized that teaching in a traditional classroom setting was not going to work for me, I stumbled across lululemon. A company at the time I knew nothing about, but something sparked my curiosity. Fast forward 5 years later and I am now the store manager of the Southgate lululemon, and I have the privilege of leading and inspiring people in BIG ways, every single day. I fuel myself with yoga, lifting heavy shit and filling my love tank with friends and family. I am engaged to my number one supporter, Bobby Liu and we are in the midst of planning the best New Years Eve wedding party ever! We consider ourselves on the minimalist journey and have found so much space in our lives from making the switch. 2018 is a BFD - I am turning 30 and getting married. I have been looking forward to this for a very, very long time. I have always said 'I can not wait to turn 30, I feel like I will finally have my life together'. Little did I know, life isn't about having it all together, it is supposed to be messy and full of plot twists, and we just get a little more resilient and little more understanding. Can’t wait to meet you all.
